Strengthening the Community
The Ann Arbor chapter of the National Black Nurses Association was established in April 2022 with 15 founding members from the University of Michigan Health. We became a chartered chapter in July 2022 at the 50th Annual NBNA conference in Chicago.
The mission of the AANBNA is to address the health disparities of the African American Community (and other minorities) through ongoing education and awareness, mentoring of current and future minority healthcare professionals, and offering networking opportunities through partnerships and collaboration.
